Excited to rest today.
Finally a few days break.
I really need this.
Almost signed a lease.
They'd make us castrate our dog.
What have we come to?
Plan for a rest day
Do a lot of chores and things
Be a little sad
Cute town with cute shops
Had a really nice walk there
Many happy dogs
Visiting cities
To decide where to make home
Feeling ups and downs
Played a new board game
Nothing to write home about
Was expecting more
I just can't. I can't.
Fiancée hates my haikus
She says "try harder"
I just can't. I can't.
Capacity for effort
Is no longer here.
I don't understand.
My fiancée liked that one.
I don't believe her.
Unloading our stuff
Into a storage unit
Resumed today, yay!
Today's poem is one word different from yesterday's. I'm so sorry.
Day three of leg two:
We changed plans due to toll roads.
We [bleep]ing did it!!!
Day two of leg two
Went roughly as planned except
way too much traffic.
Day one of leg two
Went roughly as planned except
There was some traffic.
Leg two of the trip
Begins tomorrow morning.
Better luck this time?
Leg one of the trip
Went slower than a long slog.
But now it is done.
Here's one more haiku.
Can you forgive this one too?
Got sick and can't think.
Hotel was sold out.
We found a new one. Again.
Three more hours driving.
Got in past the storm.
Winds rocked us but hotel nice.
Had some tasty food.
Windshield is now fixed.
Yay! We can drive tomorrow.
Right? Right? Right? ... Right??? Right.
Yesterday, I said "What more could go wrong?"...
The crack was once small;
Then it became much bigger.
Our windshield is ****ed.
Waiting for repair;
Places are closed on weekend.
Why did I tempt fate?
Time keeps on passing.
We wait in a hotel room.
Far from our end goal.
Done packing at last.
Everything fit in the U-Haul.
I am so happy!
Three mental breakdowns,
I've had so far with moving.
One more day I swear.
Stayed up all night long
trying to pack our U-Haul.
That's why this thing's late.
Woke up feeling dead.
Still have way too much to do
and not enough time.
Tying rope today.
The knots did not turn out good,
and my hands hurt too.
Long day at the beach;
Chosing to forgo sunscreen;
Now in lots of pain.
There once was a man named Luigi.
He was cleaning his house with a squeegie.
But his house was haunted;
A single Boo taunted.
It gave him the heebie-jeebies.
